Every student who has lived on the Hill will be imperfect when they enter, and remain imperfect when they leave. However, they enter incomplete, uncertain, and lost. When they graduate, they become refined, fine, and dignified. When they enter, they start as boys. When they graduate, they carry on in life as gentlemen.
Mico Macaraeg, Class of 2018
SLS will provide your son with an unique experience that would be difficult to replicate elsewhere. Your son will grow not only academically but will become a better person because of the experience of attending SLS.
Donald Enright, Class of 1975
Before St. Lawrence, I lacked the self-awareness and ambition to do much of anything with my life, but St. Lawrence taught me that anything is possible with the right attitude. And it always helps to have classmates that become lifelong friends.
Taylor Tran, Class of 2014
I would not have been as successful in life as I have been had I not attended SLS. I think about that a lot.
Darryl DeSeve, Class of 1961
Saint Lawrence is quite simply an incredible place, with outstanding faculty and support staff who care and have dedicated to their lives to the Hill of Happiness. I truly can’t imagine what my life would have been like, and the trajectory taken, without SLS. I think about it every day, and how it has influenced and shaped who I am. I am eternally grateful for the four years I studied at SLS.
Marc Nylen, Class of 1987
I learned how to study and how to manage my time at SLS. It is a life lesson that has helped me no only in college but in all aspects of my life.
Roger Sherman, Class of 1997
The education provided to me at St. Lawrence prepared me to take on the stress and rigorous coursework in college. At St Lawrence, I was exposed to diverse classes and high academic standards by my teachers. I would see the drive in my classmates to also succeed academically at St. Lawrence, all in which pushed me further my education and help make my transition into college so much smoother and easier.
Juvenal George, Class of 2002
SLS helped me in both very obvious and very surprising ways. I was prepared for college with a good time management and scheduling structure, writing skills, leadership skills, and a solid faith foundation. I expected that from SLS. I did not expect that the exposure to such a high level of social and cultural diversity would help a small town kid like myself transition very well into college life without the initial culture shock and isolation many of my peers from home experienced. To this day, I realize that I more comfortable being around people, ideas, and norms that are very different from my own than many of my peers who have very little experience with diversity.
Trevor St John, Class of 2010
[SLS] made me self reliant in a way which would not have been possible otherwise. Also the atmosphere and close quarters with classmates taught me the importance of teamwork. I also can’t stress enough that the school instilled a sense of morality and mindfulness of those around me.
Beet Casas, Class of 1986
I would just like to say thank you St Lawrence. I will never forget my time spent there and the memories I made there. Everything that i do now reflects what i was taught in that place. St Lawrence will always have a special place in my heart no matter where I go in the future
Joshua Tran, Class of 2018
