Alumni Board Members

Michael Pickart (Class of 1982)
President
Michael is a Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Director of Recruitment at Concordia University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy in Mequon, Wisconsin. He and his wife Maggie are residents of Cedarburg and members of St. Joseph’s Catholic Parish (Grafton). They have three children; Connor, Owen, and Maddie. Michael joined the alumni board in 2020.

Howard Lodl (Class of 1982)
Vice President
Howard works as part of the Patient Support Services of Prevea Health in Green Bay, WI. He is a retired middle school science, grade 4/5 and special educator having served 33 years in the Green Bay Area Public Schools. He is a member of St. Matthew’s Parish in Green Bay, WI. He and his wife Justine are the proud parents of three sons Ryne, Jacob, and Aaron along with being grandparents of five. Howard joined the board in 2024.

Matthew Swift (Class of 1998)
Secretary
Matt is currently a VP of Client Services in the Marketing Technology field. He and his wife Jill have been living and working in the Boston area for the past 15 years. Matt joined the alumni board in 2022.

Fr. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap. (Class of 1976)
Fr. Gary is the Executive Director of the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit, MI. He is a member of the Capuchin community at St. Bonaventure Monastery. He is a former Director of Alumni Relations for St. Lawrence Seminary and a past president of the alumni board. Fr. Gary joined the board in 2024.

Bill Burge (Class of 1985)
Bill is the Sales Manager for Bevco Engineering in Sussex, Wisconsin. He and his wife, Kim live in New Berlin, Wisconsin where there are members of Holy Apostles Parish. They have three children. Bill has been a member of the board since 2008.

James Armstrong (Class of 1998)
James is a photographer by trade and education and is currently working as a Forensic Imaging Specialist with the Wisconsin State Crime Lab in Milwaukee where he provides photography and video analysis and serves on the Crime Scene Response Team. He lives with his wife and two children in Milwaukee. James joined the Board in 2020.

Shawn McKenna (Class of 1985)
Shawn is employed as a Senior Managing Consultant with the Milwaukee office of Robert Half Salary Professional Services. He lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is an active member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Wauwatosa. Shawn joined the alumni board in 2020.

Logan Burge (Class of 2017)
Following 6 years at St. Lawrence Seminary as a Dorm Supervisor and earning degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Marian University, Logan is currently at the Milwaukee Police Academy working toward a career in law enforcement. He lives in Milwaukee. Logan joined the board in 2019.

John O’Neill (Class of 2016)
John works at the University of Notre Dame as Program Manager for the Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate's Church Properties Initiative. He lives in Mishawaka, IN, with his wife and two children, and is an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Parish. John joined the alumni board in 2021.

Marc Vargas (Class of 2018)
Marc is a full-time, undergraduate student at Saint Xavier University in Chicago, Illinois. He has a double major in Sociology and Spanish in the Professions, and hopes to go on to law school. He lives in Calumet City, Illinois. Marc joined the board in 2021.

Jairo Galán (Class of 2009)
Jairo Galán is a Project Manager who works with organizations across industries to improve leadership capability and operational performance through hands-on implementation. His work focuses on solving complex challenges, strengthening collaboration, and helping teams execute sustainable improvements that drive measurable results.
He currently lives in the Chicago area and joined the St. Lawrence Alumni Board in 2026.

Trevor St. John (Class of 2010)
Trevor has a varied career in forestland management, timber, and real estate investments in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He and his wife, Rachelle, live near Escanaba with their five children, where they are members of St. Joseph & St. Patrick Parish. Trevor joined the alumni board in 2026.
