Rooted in Franciscan Spirituality and Grounded in the Gospel
Welcome to St. Lawrence Seminary High School. We are a Catholic, residential, college preparatory high school operated by the Capuchin Franciscans of the Province of St. Joseph. Founded in 1860 as the Convent Latin School by two Swiss diocesan priests, who were inspired to establish the Capuchin Order in North America, St. Lawrence rose from its humble beginnings to become the strong, vibrant institution of learning and formation that it is today.
Our mission is to provide each student with the education and experiences that will prepare them for their next stage of life and prepare them for a life of service, whether as a priest, religious or layperson. Our programs are aimed at the holistic formation of the individual, addressing the spiritual, intellectual, social and personal aspects of their being.
For nearly 170 years, St. Lawrence Seminary High School has provided students from across the United States and around the world a nurturing environment in which they can grow and mature into well-rounded men of faith, heralds of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, and leaders in the Church and society.
As you explore our website to learn more about St. Lawrence Seminary High School, consider contacting our admissions office to schedule a visit to the seminary to meet the friars and faculty, and see firsthand the difference that St. Lawrence offers.
With gratitude,

Fr. Bill, OFM Cap.
