Director of Institutional Advancement – The Seminary is pleased to announce an open position of Director of Institutional Advancement.  The successful candidates will be self-motivated individuals who are able to work effectively with seminary administrators, seminary staff, vendors and benefactors with a minimum amount of supervision. The individual must be committed to the Seminary’s mission and to being a positive role model for the students. The Director of Institutional Advancement (DIA) has the responsibility for all development efforts of the seminary, including but not limited to: admissions and recruitment, alumni giving, direct mail campaigns, planned and major giving, grant writing and special events. The DIA is a member of the administration and will collaborate with staff to further the seminary’s mission and programs. Click here for a complete job description.

Although the application deadline is January 3, 2023, application materials are reviewed upon receipt.  St. Laurence Seminary High School reserves the right to hire before the application period closes.

  • Letter of introduction — The Director of Institutional Advancement has responsibility for both admissions and development, but admissions is the initial priority.  Include your experience in this area as well as in the fundraising arena.  
  • Resume
  • Five professional references (names, email addresses, telephone numbers and relationship)
  • Written essay of no more than 500 words answering the question “Why should a young man consider St. Lawrence Seminary at this moment in time?”  Please provide five compelling reasons.
