Overcome hurdles.Track is a spring sport that begins in the middle of March. Students in any grade are eligible for the team; however, there are a couple events a year that are reserved for only freshmen and sophomore competitors. As the snow melts off the hillside in the spring of the year, our runners, hurdlers, and field men begin workouts for the track season. Individual determination, hard work and guidance from the coaching staff help each athlete improve his time or distance. Track participants are divided into three groups: Field, Distance, and Sprinters. Each of the groups has their own coach. This allows for much time to be devoted to each student becoming the best at his event |
