Partners with Parents

Learn More...

St. Lawrence Seminary strives to form a partnership with parents for the formation of their sons. The seminary makes it a priority to maintain an open line of communication between the school and the home.

Parents are encouraged to involve themselves as much as possible in the school. Sunday is the normal day for families to visit their sons. Students are free to leave campus on Sundays with their parents.

The seminary schedule provides for students to have the opportunity to go home or to the home of another student virtually every month of the academic year.

SLS also encourages families to welcome other students into their homes. The seminary believes that the partnership with parents established by the administration, faculty and staff also extends to a partnership between the parents of our students. A Parent Covenant of Mutual Responsibility and Respect details the expectations when families host other students in their home on Sundays, home weekends or vacations.

The seminary administration maintains contact with parents through monthly letters and numerous newsletters and quarterly progress reports. The Dean of Students sends a letter to the parents of students who receive major behavioral consequences.
