How is the $375 donation used?A significant portion of the photography, graphic design and production costs for Men Who Inspire are used to cover the production expenses. In addition, approximately $175 is a donation to St. Lawrence. The price for the dedication page is set at a standard fee for a portrait photo session with an expert photographer in the Milwaukee area. In this case, you are getting not only the photo shoot, but a truly unique and everlasting keepsake. Can there be more than one man per photo?No, only one man per photo/dedication page. One of the goals of this project is to highlight the many different ways that men have lived out the values and lessons they have learned in their lives, whether it be at St. Lawrence or another value-based foundation. This goal is best achieved through the collection of unique, personalized stories about individual men. The distinct aspects of each story help us to see and understand the special and magnificent impact of a single individual in the lives of those they inspire. Can more than one person dedicate?Absolutely! Be creative. Spread the word and divide the cost with family, friends, students, peers. Who is taking the photos?We have created a network of photographers throughout the Midwest who are both St. Lawrence alumni and individuals dedicated to the St. Lawrence mission and Men Who Inspire initiative. This group of professionals will be available for photos either at a location of your choosing or in their studio. Can I see the photograph before the book is released?The logistics of these types of requests would be more than our staff can manage. Our deadline to complete the photo process is December 2009, so we are trying to keep the process moving as quickly as possible. The photographer is responsible for choosing a photo that shows the uniqueness of each man. Can I get copies of the photograph?Additional prints of the portraits can be purchased directly through the photographer and will also be made available for purchase online. More information about purchasing photos will be provided to you once you have registered.
