Meaningful Involvement

Learn More...

In order to make any community successful, it takes concern and active participation on the part of each individual living in the community. St. Lawrence Seminary is no exception. In addition, history has clearly taught us that keeping busy and involved in Seminary activities contributes to a feeling of belonging and minimizes homesickness.

Every student must be actively involved in an area that goes beyond the expected spiritual, academic and residential life minimum requirements. This involvement may include co-curricular activities, band, choir, student council, publications, National Honor Society, Spiritual Life Committee, or any other Seminary activity.

Students who do not voluntarily involve themselves will be assigned to an alternative involvement to be completed during that specific quarter. A student may propose his own alternative involvement. The nature of the involvement, the faculty or staff supervisor and the times for completion are submitted to the Dean of Students for approval.
