St. Lawrence Seminary is a college prep program in a residential setting. The school is a multicultural community. It strives to form a partnership with parents for the formation of their sons.

As a residential school, the students live on campus for thirty-six weeks out of the year. The residency program is a graduated program in which each class enjoys greater privileges, taking into consideration the natural development from the freshman to the senior year.

Beyond the school-wide guidelines and expectations, each dormitory supervisor, in consultation with the Dean of Students, develops guidelines for the health, safety and good order of the students and their environment.

If the academic program is the “brain” and the spiritual life program is the “soul” and the athletic and activities programs are the “body” of the seminary, then it is not an exaggeration to say that the residential program is the “heart” of St. Lawrence Seminary. The Residency Program is a vital part of the overall seminary program. It is in this area that St. Lawrence most differs from a typical high school. The purpose of this aspect of the school is to provide an environment in which the students can grow and develop in healthy ways. Therefore, much of what makes up the St. Lawrence experience is the involvement of the students in the totality of the program both within the classroom and beyond.
