Fr. John Holly, OFM Capuchin

I see my role as one of building up the “living Catholic community” through my interaction with students and staff as the Campus Minister of the school. So many contribute to building up of men of faith. I see Campus Ministry as being a support to all of the different dimensions of SLS. Specifically through my work with both the Adult Spiritual Committee and the Student Spirituality Committee, countless programs and prayer experiences are planned and executed. Working with the Student Committee allows me to model prayer planning and leadership to aid the students in becoming quality leaders of prayer in their specific class and in the school. The liturgical ministry training program allows me and other staff members to train the students as prayer leaders who are life giving for others and who show, through their ministry, the loving face of God. In addition to these larger group experiences, I spend a good deal of time with individual students in practice and training, in spiritual directions and in addressing specific needs of individuals as directed and requested by the administration of the school.

Working in the Province of St. Joseph as a vocations director for many years, I have always been impressed with the quality of the graduates of SLS no matter their chosen path in life. I'm honored to be part of the SLS staff.
