My Long-term Vision for St. Lawrence Seminary is...
As the Rector and President of SLS, I see my role as helping faculty, staff and students to carry out their goals here and thus, continuing to make SLS a strong and vibrant institution for current and future students.
With 154 years of experience, St. Lawrence has continued to provide a quality education and spiritual formation for the students who have sought to be part of the Hill of Happiness. We are, indeed, a strong school built on the shoulders of giants who have gone before us. Our Capuchin charism of attempting to live the ideals of St. Francis of Assisi is passed on to generations of students who leave here with the ingredients they need to be aware of the poor and the downtrodden. Students continue to successfully complete their studies here and take their place as men of faith with open eyes and hearts to address the needs of society. We continue to wish the same of future graduates, confident in the formation they will receive.
It is my hope that we can continue to enrich the lives of our students for decades to come. We stand committed to this ministry believing that what we do is as essential as it ever was for the Church and for our society, even for another 154 years!
