C.R.O.P. Hunger Walk

Learn More...

St. Lawrence Seminary students are involved in ministry opportunities both in the local area and in our broader communities.

C.R.O.P. Walk, Christian Rural Overseas Program, is our connection to a nationwide effort to raise awareness of and funds for the poor. The Crop Hunger Walk brings together residents from various religious denominations, cultures, and ages, walking together to take a stand against hunger in our world. Together, we raise awareness and funds for international relief and development, as well as local hunger-fighting agencies. Some 2,000 communities across the country take part each year. Some of our students walk the course on this Sunday in October, and others staff some of the “relief stations” on the course itself.

"I am glad that I was able to participate in the Crop Walk. I was not directly helping to feed the poor, but I feel great that I was helping by contributing in the program that collects food for them. From this particular experience, I learned that there are many different ways to help the poor. With this valuable lesson, I will keep my eyes open in the future and actively participate in those opportunities around me." Yu Bin Kim (’08)

"I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink."
