I came to SLS as part of my formation ministry program because I see SLS as the heart of the Province. I see my presence at SLS as a way to introduce the young men here to the religious life of the Capuchin friars. I have great respect for the friars who have gone before me and their age and wisdon and I feel the students need someone closer to their own age to see and, perhaps. to emulate. I want the students to know that normal guys can come brothers, that we aren't super holy people that are already perfect and above them. We are here with them and like them in sin and holiness. We're real people. I hope to be a good example to the students of compassion, patience, and humility, but also of humanity. I hope my background in poetry and theatre shows them God calls anybody.
