Baseball is a spring sport, played from March through June. The school competes at both the varsity and the junior varsity level. The varsity team may include students from any grade, while the junior varsity is made up of freshmen and sophomores. The St. Lawrence varsity field is off campus in the village of Mt. Calvary, while the junior varsity play many of their games at another local ball diamond in Johnsburg. Players spend their time during the early days of spring indoors hitting tennis balls, batting from tees and facing the feared pitching machine! As soon as the weather allows, the team moves outdoors to start the interscholastic competition. The coaches and players live to hear that great expression: PLAY BALL!
