St. Lawrence Seminary High School is a Catholic college-preparatory boarding school owned and operated for well over a century by the Capuchin Order of the Province of St. Joseph. The overriding purpose for the school is to promote, foster and live principles and values announced in the gospel of Jesus Christ and articulated in the Catholic Church. Underlying the school’s philosophy is the conviction that the primary obligation of all Christians is to witness to gospel values in that life vocation to which God calls them. If you become a student at St. Lawrence, we will examine with you what it means to be a leader in the Church as a priest, religious brother, married, and single lay person.

All students who attend St. Lawrence live on campus, are Catholic, male, and in grades 9 through 12. The students come from throughout the United States and several different countries, as well as from a variety of social and economic backgrounds. Our ethnically diverse student population allows us to explore and celebrate one another’s cultures and traditions.

The academic program is challenging. However, students find that their instructors are available for additional assistance when needed. Our average class size is below 20.

We work hard to keep St. Lawrence affordable and to provide financial assistance to those who need help. No student is turned away from this one-of-a-kind program because he cannot afford it.

Our admissions counselors are dedicated individuals who strive to locate students who have an interest and are likely to succeed in the program we offer. We select about 70 new students from throughout the world each year. You could be one of them!
